MEAN WELL MEAN WELL was established in 1982 to produce Apple and IBM compatible switching power supply products. It is one of the few manufacturers dedicated to standard power supply products. The original brand name MEAN WELL was born from founder Jerry Lin's dictionary: To "MEAN WELL" means "to have good intentions."It is Mr. Lin's personal belief –that one who has right thinking, good intentions and runs a legitimate business can persist and accomplish a noble goal. Dedicated to the power supply industry for the development, manufacturing and sales of standard power supply products, MEAN WELL has served a wide range of industries for more than three decades. MEAN WELL is ranked the 4th in global power supply (DC output) makers according to a report by Micro Technology released in March 2021. While 99% of MEAN WELL sales are from the standard power supply products sold under the MEAN WELL brand name, other products of the company also include ODM/OEM (Original Design Manufacturing/Original Equipment Manufacturing). Upholding the company's spirit of continuous innovation, MEAN WELL has been adding 10% new devices into its product lines each year.
